WHY THE GEORGIA STARS?

  • 2008 10U NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

  • 2004 17U NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

  • 2001 15U NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

  • 1995 16U NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

  • Four National Championships titles in ten years.

  • Forty three State Championships.

It's mission:
Norman Parker established the Georgia Stars Basketball Program to help enhance

and develop the player athletically, academically and socially for their college experience and life after basketball. The program will provide the best competition possible and the best exposure possible, by surrounding players with good adult coaches that have been successful in business and have integrity as well as commitment to be the best coach, teacher and role model possible.

But what does that really mean?

Understanding the ultimate goal of the Georgia Stars organization is to understand that it provides a venue or opportunity for college scholarships for our kids. Because of the Georgia Stars, there is an increased opportunity of exposure to college and NBA scouts. Since, the Georgia Stars is currently ranked the #1 AAU club in the country and is sponsored by the number #1 shoe company (Nike), Nike knows the importance of the youth and will be conducting invitation only camps for those prospects. As a high school student athlete the importance of being in an elite program is ultimate because the exposure that is given to the Georgia Stars athletes puts them in a position to be highly recognized.

  • The Georgia Stars averaged 3 junior players per year for the Nike top 20 camps.

  • The Georgia Stars have averaged 5 to 6 freshman and sophomores players per year for the Nike Hoop Jamboree

You should also know that the Georgia Stars organization is not just your average AAU program. The Georgia Stars Basketball Organization is a "Nike Traveling Team." The Stars plays in Nike tournaments all over the United States.

Subject: Hi from Kathy Jukes
Hello Norm,
Haven't had a chance to speak or see you lately & just wanted to drop you a line to say Hi.
Wanted to THANK YOU again. Not just for allowing Avery to be a part of the Georgia Stars but also, for your presence in his life. You were one of the many that has encouraged Avery and helped him to become the young man he has become.

Even though I am thankful that Avery's AAU tenure is over, I can honestly say that all his hard work and being able to be a part of the Georgia Stars organization truly paid off. A big thanks again to YOU!

I am truly impressed with the number of our players who received D-1 rides. What a blessing!!! If you ever need anything, you know Tony & I are here to support you and the Georgia Stars whenever & wherever possible.
