the price we must pay for success. I think you can accomplish anything if
you're willing to pay the price.

Georgia Stars 15U Black

The Georgia Stars 2008 15U Black team is coached by Mark DeFoor, Joe Kennedy, Colin Ray and Chaz Smith.  Coach DeFoor begins his 8th year of coaching and 2nd with the Stars.  He served as an assistant for Coach Gary King on last year’s 14U Black team.  Coach DeFoor and his staff begin their 3rd season together after coaching the Gainesville Wildcats to a 66-10 record over the previous 2 seasons including a 4th place finish in the 2006 YBOA Nationals and a 6th place finish in 2007.

Coach Kennedy and Coach Smith are currently playing college basketball for Oglethorpe University after having stellar careers for Coach Jerry Davis at Gainesville High School.  Coach Ray also played basketball at Gainesville High and is also attending Oglethorpe.

The Stars return several outstanding players from last year’s team including standout point guard Saah Nimley.  Saah has been rated by many recruiting services as one of the top point guards in the country for the class of 2011.  Brandon Garrett and Shunquez Stephens return after having successful freshman seasons with their respective schools.  Brandon routinely lead the Stars in rebounds and Shunquez utilized his size and quickness to score from anywhere on the court.
